Chemical Properties | white to off-white powder | Uses | AIDA is a potent and selective group I mGluR agonist. | Biological Activity | A relatively potent and selective antagonist of group I metabotropic glutamate receptors (mGlu 1a ), having no effect on group II (mGlu 2 ) or group III (mGlu 4 ) receptors expressed individually in baby hamster kidney cells. Has no effect on ionotropic glutamate receptors. Centrally active following systemic administration in vivo . | in vivo | UPF-523 (0.18 mg/kg; i.p.; 0.5 ml per 100 g) results in a final concentration of 100–150 mM which is below an IC50 of 214 mM[1]. Animal Model: | Naive male hooded Lister rats (320–350 g)[1] | Dosage: | 0.18 mg/kg | Administration: | I.p.; 0.5 ml per 100 g | Result: | Showed no gross motor abnormalities and normal righting reflexes.
