綠原酸亦稱“綠吉酸”、“咖啡單寧酸”。分子式C16H18O9。分子量354.32。由水中得針狀結(jié)晶,為半水合物,110℃變?yōu)闊o(wú)水合物。熔點(diǎn)208℃,[α]D25-33.5°(水,C=1),K=2.2×10-3(27℃)。有弱酸味并具收斂性。25℃時(shí)在水中溶解度為4%,較易溶于熱水,溶于乙醇、丙酮,微溶于乙酸乙酯,不溶于氯仿、乙醚和二硫化碳。與濃鹽酸共沸得藍(lán)色染料。能使溴水褪色,與濃碘化氫共沸得苯甲酸,與水在230℃共熱分解為苯酚,與稀鹽酸共熱分解為咖啡酸和金雞納酸等,室溫與稀堿作用只得咖啡酸和金雞納酸。
綠原酸為植物代謝的重要因素,綠原酸及其異構(gòu)體異綠原酸和新綠原酸也存在于雙子葉植物的果實(shí)、葉及其他組織中。綠原酸為3-咖啡酸喹寧酸。新綠原酸為5-咖啡酸喹寧酸。異綠原酸含三種咖啡酰喹寧酸類物質(zhì),分別為4,5-二咖啡酰喹寧酸,3,4-二咖啡酰喹寧酸,3,5-二咖啡酰喹寧酸。

Neochlorogenic acid (NCA) shows a reduction of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced NO production by suppressing iNOS and COX-2 protein expression and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as TNF-α and IL-1β, in BV2 microglia cells. In addition, phosphorylated p38 MAPK and NF-κB p65 are also inhibited by Neochlorogenic acid in activated microglia. iNOS and COX-2 levels are increased in LPS-induced BV2 cells, but this increase is significantly inhibited after treatment with 50 and 100 μM Neochlorogenic acid.
