(R)-tert-Butyl 3-hydroxypyrrolidine-1 -carboxylate (250 mg, 1.34 mmol) was dissolved inHCI/dioxane (4 M, 5 mL) and stirred at rt for 1 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated to give the title compound (150 mg, yield 90%) as a white solid.1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6): 6 9.47 (br s, I H), 9.24 (br 5, 1 H), 4.38 (s, 1 H), 3.57-2.96 (m, 4H), 1.95-1.79 (m, 2H).
