Add crude 3-methylcyclopentadecenone to a 2L three-necked round bottom bottle,1L of methanol and 3.5g of 10% palladium on carbon,First replace the air in the kettle with nitrogen 5 times,Then replace the nitrogen in the kettle with hydrogen 3 times, and react at room temperature and normal pressure until the reaction is complete.The catalyst is recovered after filtration, and the solvent methanol is recovered from the filtrate at atmospheric pressure.Under reduced pressure distillation, 321.3g of pure 3-methylcyclopentadecanone (muskone) was obtained,The corresponding yield is 92.3%.
