This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 55.2 kDa. The protein migrates as 65-80 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）
胰島素樣生長因子結(jié)合蛋白3也稱為IGFBP3，是一種在人類中由IGFBP3基因編碼的蛋白質(zhì)。IGFBP3與IGF1或IGF2以及糖蛋白胰島素樣生長因子酸不穩(wěn)定亞基（ALS）形成約140~150 kDa的三元復合物，從而改變IGFs與其細胞表面受體的相互作用。IGFBP3根據(jù)細胞環(huán)境發(fā)揮促凋亡或生長刺激作用。研究表明，IGFBP3可以誘導依賴或獨立于IGF-IGF受體軸的凋亡，因此在某些癌癥中充當腫瘤發(fā)生和進展的負調(diào)節(jié)因子。在肝臟的非分支細胞中發(fā)現(xiàn)了最高的表達水平。表達水平在子宮外生活期間也較高，在青春期達到峰值。
