SPR741 is a cationic peptide derived from Polymyxin B, with a sequence containing 9 amino acids and a cyclic structure containing amide bonds. It is a synergistic molecule. SPR741 can improve the permeability of the outer membrane of Gram negative bacteria and be used to inhibit severe Gram negative bacterial infections. SPR741 inhibits Gram negative bacteria with multiple drug resistance. When used in combination with antibiotics, SPR741 has the ability to expand the antibiotic activity spectrum.
