2-Fluoroadenine is a heterocyclic building block that has been used in the synthesis of heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) inhibitors that have anticancer activity in vitro.1 It is also cytotoxic to CEM human leukemia cells with an IC50 value of 0.15 μM.2
