[Description]

A 20832 is an inhibitor that Inhibits resolvase-promoted site-specific recombination postsynaptically at strand cleavage. It does not inhibit resolvase binding to res, as measured by filter binding, or synapse formation. DNase I analysis in the presence of A20832 indicates that only site I of res is bound by resolvase.
[Uses]

A20832 is a specific resolvase inhibitor that blocks both the recombination and topoisomerase activities of resolvase. A20832 inhibits the site-specific recombination reaction mediated by the Tn3-encoded resolvase protein at the strand cleavage step and has no effect on synapsis[1].
