General method: Method B: The formimide or acetimide amide intermediate was suspended in a mixture of formamide (40 eq.) and InCl3 (1 eq.) in a sealed vial. Subsequently, the reaction was irradiated in a microwave reactor at 400 W power. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature, the solid product was collected by filtration, washed with water and finally dried to give quinolin-4-amine. | [References]
