Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Uses]
4-(Perfluoropropan-2-yl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)aniline is an intermediate in the synthesis of Broflanilide (B677570), a pesticide for controlling animals and microbial pests such as unwanted insects. Broflanilide is a prominent insecticide because of it’s effective against pests with resistance to cyclodienes and fipronil. Broflanilide is metabolized to desmethyl-broflanilide that acts as a noncompetitive resistant-to-dieldrin (RDL) γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor antagonist. |
